Optimization. Upgraded to WordPress 5.5.1

Change. Kinsta disabled the Cache on /group-leaderboard/ to see if caching is contributing to the intermittent 404 errors.

Optimization. Kinsta moved the site’s container to a new host machine.

September 21st, 2020

Issue. Some users were experiencing intermittent 404 Page Not Found errors on pages that actually exist. Pages impacted include /help/, /group-management/, /group-leaderboard/, /travel-route/, /tools/, /transcript/, and /my-account/.   It appears to have started after BuddyBoss Version update. The issue is difficult to replicate.

Ongoing. This issue continues to be under investigation as it is very intermittent and doesn’t impact all users. The Kinsta Cache and CDN Cache were flushed. The BuddyBoss team has been working hard to try to diagnose. Resaving the Permalinks by the administrators temporarily fixes the issue.

September 11th, 2020

Issue. Starting at 9 am (Central Time) and until 11 am there was a service disruption. Our website is hosted on the Google Cloud Data Center in Iowa. Students that were online may have received “502 Bad Gateway” errors. That means that the server that my website was hosted on was having issues. One of the Google Cloud’s host machines experienced a resource management issue. Their Engineers attempted to restore service but ultimately determined the fastest way to full restoration of service was to restart the affected machine. During this process any site containers drawing resources from the affected machine experienced a disruption in service.

Fixed. Google Cloud engineers restarted the host machine.

September 5th, 2020

Issue. Some customers were experiencing difficulty downloading activities.

Fixed. The activity download plugin was fixed.


September 3rd, 2020

Optimization. Completed a database optimization and enabled CDN.

Issue. Between 4 pm and 9 pm CST the Lesson, Topic, and Chapter Reviews were not visible. This was due to a conflict with one of the website’s performance plugins.

Fixed. The plugin was disabled. If you were on the site during these times you can go back and answer the review questions to earn your miles or virtual credits.
